TEAM CONSULTATION

Your Athletes Are Working Hard. Find Out What's Actually Slowing Them Down.

Dr. Brian Cunningham works directly with coaches and club teams to identify the movement patterns, physical limitations, and stroke inefficiencies that training alone won’t fix.

THE PROBLEM

What Coaches See vs. What's Actually Happening

You’re watching your athletes every day. You see the stroke fall apart at the 75. You see the shoulder that keeps flaring up. You see the swimmer who trains hard but can’t replicate it on the block.

Standard coaching adjustments help. But some problems don’t respond to cues; they respond to a different kind of analysis. When the body can’t physically execute what the coach is asking for, no amount of drilling fixes it. That’s where this work begins.

comprehensive-evaluation

Recurring injuries that won’t resolve: the same shoulder. The same knee. Rest helps temporarily. Nothing holds.

Stroke breaks down under fatigue. Technique looks fine at warm-up pace. Falls apart when it matters.

Training that doesn’t transfer: Volume is there. Yardage is there. Times aren’t moving.

There is no clear communication between the coach and the clinician. Your athlete sees a physical therapist who doesn’t understand swimming. You get a generic report that tells you nothing useful.

The Solution- A Specialist Who Speaks Both Languages

Dr. Brian Cunningham sits at the intersection of physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and competitive swimming. He evaluates athletes as they actually move in the water and on land and translates his findings into language coaches can use.

Team Movement Screening: A structured assessment of your roster that identifies physical limitations, asymmetries, and compensation patterns ranked by performance impact.

Individual Athlete Consultation: Referred athletes receive a full Performance Architecture Diagnostic. Written report included. Coach receives a summary with training implications.

Clinic and Educational Session: Half-day or full-day format. Dr. Brian works with your athletes while your staff observes. Includes a debrief and a framework your coaches can apply going forward.

Built for Coaches Who Want Answers, Not Guesswork

Club coaches dealing with recurring injury patterns. High school and college coaches preparing for championship season. Coaches who want an objective third-party movement assessment without undermining their relationship with athletes. Programs willing to invest in the physical foundation that makes technical coaching stick.

This is not a replacement for your coaching. It’s the piece that makes your coaching land.
